EKO BY PASS -SAMMAG WATER FILTER WITH SOFTENING MAGNETIC NEUTRALIZER

USE
EKO-BY PASS MAGO EKO FOS 4 PLUS is an advanced self-cleaning mechanical water filter featuring a magnetic limescale neutralizer, integrated anti-corrosion agent, and high-quality activated carbon (carbon block, 10 microns). The filtration system is designed for multi-stage filtration and long-term protection of plumbing and household appliances.
DESCRIPTION
The magnetic limescale neutralizer is positioned in the center of the filter housing and cartridge. It operates on the principle of a magnetic field generated by high-energy permanent magnets. It effectively works without any chemical impact on the water, preventing limescale buildup, iron corrosion, and simultaneously breaking down existing limescale deposits in plumbing and water appliances (inhibiting adhesion). The efficiency of the magnetic neutralizer is ensured by multiple magnetic fields, correct orientation, and a magnetic field strength of 12,000 gauss.
The combined mechanical filter cartridge with integrated activated carbon and a dosing agent for water softening gradually retains all solid particles in the water ranging from 50 to 10 microns. The added dosing agent within the cartridge provides additional protection against corrosion and limescale. It is suitable for drinking water as well as water intended for technological use.
Installation can be done directly after the water meter or before the water end-users. The filter is equipped with a ball valve at the bottom of the housing, which should be opened at least once a month to remove solid particles accumulated inside the filter. To rinse the filter cartridge, open the ball valve at the bottom of the filter housing and release the solid particles collected at the bottom.
MAINTENANCE AND INSTALLATION
🔧 Installation
-
Installation should be carried out by a professionally qualified person.
-
Proper sealing with suitable Teflon tape is required during installation.
-
The filter can be installed directly after the water meter or before the end users of the water.
-
The use of flexible hoses is mandatory, as they ensure a safe connection and simplify maintenance.
-
Always use the original mounting bracket to ensure the stability and safety of the device.
⚠️ Safety Precautions
-
In cases of high or fluctuating pressure in the plumbing system, it is essential to install a pressure regulating valve with a manometer.
-
The filter housing is intended exclusively for water filtration – do not use it for other liquids.
-
Protect the housing from direct light exposure to prevent material degradation.
-
If the filter is installed after a water pump or before a heating element, a non-return valve must be installed to protect the system.
-
If the filter housing falls to the ground, it must be replaced—even if no visible damage is present—due to the possibility of microfractures that could compromise safety.
-
If the system is powered by a pump (especially with a pressure switch), install an expansion vessel before the filter to protect against constant high pressure.
-
Do not install the filter near electrical devices to avoid potential safety hazards.
💧 After Installation
-
After installing or replacing the filter cartridge, let the water run for 5–7 minutes to flush the system. Only then is the water suitable for use.
The filter is made of plastic and brass, and all materials in contact with drinking water comply with the European Directive 80/778/EEC on the quality of water intended for human consumption and food processing.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Filter connections are: 19.05 mm (3/4''), 25.4 mm (1'')
Max. working temperature: 30° C
Max. working pressure with cold water: 7 bar
Sealing: O-ring
FILTER ADVANTAGES
-
During installation, the installation of valves before and after the filter is not necessary,
-
Making a by-pass is not necessary as it is built into the multi-function filter head,
-
The spigot located at the bottom of the pot allows the cartridge to be rinsed without opening the housing, thus extending the life of the filter cartridge.
-
The magnetic neutralizer eliminates scale build-up, iron corrosion and destroys existing scale on water pipes and fixtures.
-
The dosing agent has an anti-corrosive effect and provides protection against limescale
REPLACEMENT FILTER CARTRIDGES
Mechanical insert
Combined self-cleaning mechanical filter cartridge with mesh, integrated activated carbon, and anti-corrosion agent: 50–10 micron. Height: 10''

SETTINGS
1. Normal mode: water filtering
The multifunctional filter head enables standard water filtration, bypass maintenance, water shut-off, and backwashing—without the need to install additional valves. The filter head can also be set to the BY-PASS position, allowing water flow to bypass the filter cartridge. Additionally, the head can be positioned to completely block water flow on both the inlet and outlet sides of the filter.

1. Normal mode: water filtering
To initiate the BY-PASS system filtration in filtration mode, turn the selector knob so that the symbols in the image above line up with the arrows on the blue housing that indicate water flow. At the exit we get filtered water.
2. Maintenance: BY-PASS
To establish the BY-PASS function, it is necessary to turn the selection knob clockwise so that the upper symbol aligns with the arrows on the housing, which indicate the direction of the water flow. Unfiltered water flows at the filter outlet, the housing has no contact with water.

3. Closed input and output connection
For the closing mode, it is necessary to turn the selection knob so that the upper symbol is aligned with the triggers on the housing, which show the direction of the water flow. The supply path is closed. The internal pressure is reduced by means of a tap at the bottom of the pot. When changing the position, we close the tap again.

3. Closed input and output connection
For the closing method, it is necessary to turn the selection knob so that the upper symbol is aligned with the triggers on the housing, which show the direction of the water flow.
The inlet is closed. The internal pressure is reduced by means of a tap at the bottom of the pot. When changing the position, close the tap again.
