EKO BY PASS -SAMMAG WATER FILTER WITH SOFTENING MAGNETIC NEUTRALIZER

USE
-
Whole-System Protection: Can be installed directly after the water meter (at the main point of entry) or upstream of individual appliances.
-
Protection for Appliances and Fixtures: Protects faucets, plumbing networks, heating elements, washing machines, dishwashers, and other household appliances.
-
Wide Range of Applications: Suitable for drinking water as well as process water in industry, agriculture, and pharmaceuticals.
DESCRIPTION
EKO BY-PASS MAGO EKO FOS 4 PLUS (20") is a premium, multifunctional water filter designed for comprehensive protection and water quality improvement in residential, industrial, pharmaceutical, and commercial facilities. In a single compact system, it combines three stages of water treatment: mechanical filtration, activated carbon treatment, and magnetic and chemical neutralization of scale and corrosion.
The product features an advanced multifunctional multi-position filter head with an integrated BY-PASS, allowing easy switching between operating modes (normal filtration, bypass, complete shut-off, and backwashing) without the need to install additional external valves.
The housing and components are manufactured in the EU in accordance with the highest European standards (EEC Directive 80/778) for contact with drinking water.
MAINTENANCE AND INSTALLATION
-
Commissioning / Initial Startup: After installation or cartridge replacement, allow water to flush to the drain for 5–7 minutes before using it for drinking.
-
Sealing: The use of Teflon tape is mandatory for thread sealing (the use of silicone or hemp/paste is prohibited and voids the warranty). Use cylindrical threads and flexible hoses.
-
Pressure and Heat Protection:
-
If network pressure exceeds 7 bar or is unstable, installation of a pressure-reducing valve is required.
-
When installing upstream of heating elements, install a non-return (check) valve.
-
For systems with a pump controlled by a pressure switch, install an expansion tank upstream of the filter.
-
Install the filter indoors, protected from freezing temperatures, extreme heat, and direct light.
-
-
Damage Warning: If the filter bowl is dropped on the floor, it must be replaced, as invisible micro-fractures may form, leading to bursting under pressure later on.
-
Spare Parts: Use only original cartridges and seals manufactured by EKOM d.o.o.

FILTER ADVANTAGES
-
3-in-1 System: Combines mechanical filtration, activated carbon (Carbon Block), and a magnetic/dosing scale and corrosion neutralizer.
-
Integrated BY-PASS Function (No Additional Valves Required): The multifunctional head allows water to bypass the filter or shut off completely without the need for external bypass piping and valves, significantly reducing installation costs and complexity.
-
Powerful Magnetic Neutralizer (12,000 Gauss): Operates without chemical treatment of the water; prevents new scale formation, breaks down existing deposits, and protects against iron corrosion.
-
Backwashing Capability: Enables easy removal of mechanical impurities via the drain valve at the bottom of the housing (optional AP BY-PASS drain installation).
-
Cost-Effective and Easy Installation: Quick wall mounting with the included mounting brackets.
REPLACEMENT FILTER CARTRIDGES
Mechanical insert with mesh
-
Combined self-cleaning mechanical filter cartridge with mesh, integrated activated carbon, and corrosion protection agent: 50–10 µm, height 20"
-

SETTINGS

1. Normal mode: water filtering
To initiate the BY-PASS system filtration in filtration mode, turn the selector knob so that the symbols in the image above line up with the arrows on the blue housing that indicate water flow. At the exit we get filtered water.
2. Maintenance: BY-PASS
To establish the BY-PASS function, it is necessary to turn the selection knob clockwise so that the upper symbol aligns with the arrows on the housing, which indicate the direction of the water flow. Unfiltered water flows at the filter outlet, the housing has no contact with water.

3. Closed input and output connection
For the closing mode, it is necessary to turn the selection knob so that the upper symbol is aligned with the triggers on the housing, which show the direction of the water flow. The supply path is closed. The internal pressure is reduced by means of a tap at the bottom of the pot. When changing the position, we close the tap again.

3. Closed input and output connection
For the closing method, it is necessary to turn the selection knob so that the upper symbol is aligned with the triggers on the housing, which show the direction of the water flow.
The inlet is closed. The internal pressure is reduced by means of a tap at the bottom of the pot. When changing the position, close the tap again.
